MINT CHIP Frozen Dessert Instructions
So I found out it was Ice Cream Week. To celebrate this milestone week, I created my family’s favorite flavor: Chocolate Mint Ice Cream.
Curiosity: ice cream with mint pieces means mint candy in bound pieces. I only realized this many years ago when I went to the AN frozen dessert search box and asked what a bon bon mint flavor tasted like. (Isn’t that the same as a mint chip? Why didn’t they put it on the blackboard menu?)
Whatever you choose, it’s delicious. It’s one of those flavors that’s quickly disappearing from stores, but you needn’t worry thanks to this deliciously creamy mint ice cream you can take with you.
WHAT YOU WANT FOR A HOME FROZEN DESSERT
This popular frozen treat is about as good as you can get at home. perhaps even an indefinite small amount is best, so you can flavor the chocolate mint chunks to your liking.
Take these five ingredients and give them a try:
whole milk – the colder the better. Use milk for creamier results.
Sugar – Nothing fancy, just regular coarse sugar.
significant cream – the same applies here: the colder, the better. Pure Peppermint Extract
– Another extract flavor such as vanilla can be added if desired.
bar of chocolate, chopped (you will need a 4 ounce bar, otherwise use chopped chocolate). However, I haven’t tried any of them and I hear mixed reviews about most of them.
ice machine; I’ve had my cheap Cuisinart for years and use it every spring/summer. Note: This is currently out of stock on Amazon as everyone is desperate to make their own ice cream, but any reliable set should work just fine. Other stores that like Target may also carry it.
A standard frozen dessert machine will produce the same amount of full food containers, approximately 1.5 liters. My practice as an ice cream dandy was totally fake and more Yes. The.
homemade parfait ADVICE
Yes, a suggestion. Give it a try, really try to freeze ice cream in the fridge for a few hours before it sets. I want to transfer all that goodness into tools that can be frozen (I use a baking sheet) and tightly covered with a lidded canopy or plastic wrap. Of course, many of us don’t mind eating bites of a slightly melted frozen dessert before transitioning from the resting phase.

PRINTPINSAVE
Homemade Frozen Dessert is yours to make and consists of five basic ingredients. This tried and tested chocolate mint ice cream is every bit as good, if not better, than any other.
Homework Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 10
Ingredients
1x2x3x
1 cup whole milk, cold
¾ cup powdered sugar
2 cups heavy cream, cold
1.5 -2 teaspoons pure peppermint extract or type
4 ounces Dark Chocolate, chopped
Optional Extra: Frozen Dessert Maker
Tips
In a bowl, mix milk and sugar until melted. Mix in a generous amount of heavy cream and peppermint.Turn on the ice maker and pour in the mixture and let the church sit for about twenty-five minutes.
During the last 5 minutes of beating, gradually add the chopped chocolate. Set ice cream in airtight containers for at least 2-3 hours before enjoying (if you can wait that long). My food mix is entirely optional and what I do and don’t do.The flavor of the mint fries tastes exactly the same without the color.
Play with flavor options: for example, use vanilla or peppermint in situ for your daily chocolate ice cream.
